Where else can one share such info and it be
appreciated before it's depreciated?
I've decided to start dragging around a piano
accordion to jams, etc. But my Cajun Forte is just
too big and heavy to lug around!
So what's the solution? Why, a new accordion of
course!
Enter, the Baldoni Combo III.
34 keys, 72 bass, 3-reeds Musette tuned, and only 16 lbs.
Time to rekindle my Clifton Chenier chops!

PS: I had to promise my better half that we'll fix
the back porch deck and paint the house so that we
don't experience an imbalance in financial investment!
Congrats on the new accordion. I looked up the price - better give the house TWO coats So what made you decide on that one, and were you doing any comparison shopping? Curious, since I know nothing about piano accordions.
Steve
I actually have been kicking around the idea
of buying a smaller PA for some time. It was
sort of an impulse purchase, I guess. (Maybe
three coats of paint are in order!)
No, I really didn't do any comparative shopping.
I know Baldoni's product, have purchased several
other accordions from them, and have a good rapport
with them, so I felt comfortable making the purchase.
Don't tell me that you could have bought direct from
Italy for 1/2 the price!?
It is a MusicMan Stingray 5. Don't know why I waited so long!
It replaces a Carvin LB75, which is a decent enough bass, but I out grew it. A friend summed up the Carvin stuff with the statement that they are not low end, but that they are at the low end of what is acceptable to a professional.
I may pass the Carvin down to my 12 year old daughter who is a pretty good bass player. She is definately going to stick with bass, and she might as well get going on a 5 string as soon as possible.
