Waylon does Jolie Blon ( attributed to Roy Acuff ) on his Renegade Outlaw Legend CD Track 8.
It has sax on it but no liner notes re who is in that session. It's a short track but words are clear...sax is played well, almost Jazz style, but it's a strange version of Jolie Blon...don't think I like it that much.
He sings in English and French.

I have an mp3 of this - it's the 1958 recording described in the excerpt...
It's actually kinda funny to listen to.
Luckily, it's short and sweet...
Let me know if you'd like to hear it!
Good to hear from ya !Yeah..we're havin' a ball with the Band..lotsa fun, not much money but the bands in the black and not the red..that's an achievement!!
Hope family and all are well. ?
Will send you a separate email on other 'stuff'.
Hope to be back over your way March/April next year..Balfa Camp, etc..
For interest Jolie Blon, on that WJ CD is the real deal Jolie Blon melody...it's just that Waylon took a few liberties with it..particularly the sax parts....Ha!
....it's a strange recording...think Waylon was in a mellow mood at the time and it's a bit 'cocktail lounge' in style..would you believe!! !
Other songs on that CD are
Crying
Loves gonna live Here
Don'tThink Twice
Money
Big Mamou !!!
It's So Easy
Abilene
Sally was a Godd Ol' Girl
White Lightnin'
When Sin Stops
DReam baby
Burning Memories
Sweet Mental Revenge
Does it base the melody on old Jolie Blon? I would love to see the copyright certificate for this one, especially the part where you explain which parts of your claim involve something new and which something old.
