Ran into a famous Cajun guy today...

Walked into the Shibuya branch of Ishibashi Music, and ran into Gerry McGee. I recognized him from the Fender Japan guitar catalog -- he endorsed a guitar made by them.

Nice guy, was looking for a Tele. Says he moved back home -- maybe Basille or something. Said Tokyo summers were worse than Louisiana's when it comes to heat and humidity...

His band plays here every summerfor a small but devoted crowd -- mostly older.

Re: Ran into a famous Cajun guy today...

He's Dennis Mcgee's youngest of a whole pile of kids, a darn good guitar player (as well as several other instruments), and great uncle that I have never met. Last I heard he was in the Eunice area, I think.
