I just found out this afternoon that Kermit Venible passed away from a stroke. Kermit was a great accordion player from Church Point that moved to New Orleans in the late 80's. He was an amazing resource for anything Cajun. He had hundreds of stories about all of the great musicians that he grew up around, and knew so many obscure tunes that had never been recorded. He was a GREAT guy and I'm proud to have called him my friend.

I'm sorry to hear of Mr. Venible's passing. We spent many good hours dancing to his band at Michaud's. He was a charming guy, and a great musician.

He was a jolly fellow, and I always enjoyed visiting with him.
