Sean Grissom - The Cajun Cellist in NYC... Have you ever heard about him?
I just got back from a trip to NYC last night. On Friday, As I took the subway in Grand Station (near Time Square), underground, I saw a cello player who was playing an interesting fusion of jazz, Bach and Cajun on a cello! Quite interesting. The guy is named Sean Grissom, is originally from New Iberia LA, probably in his late 30s early 40s, spoke very good Cajun French. He goes by @The Cajun Cellist@. See the link above. We had a good chat, and he played Jolie Blonde...He even hand-made his own cello, which has a long, thin shape. I bought one of his CDs, which contains the Minuet Two-Step and a few other cajun songs, but also contains some Bach played in Two-Step/Cajun/Country influences. Quite an interesting guy & versatile musician. Does anyone here know him?

I'm pretty sure I have heard of him as "the Cajun cellist," but I never paid any attention because (typical New Yorker that I am) I assumed it was some kind of gimmick and never realized he was actually a Cajun.
