saving YouTube vids on a Mac

Was going crazy over this one. Here's a pretty simple way. There's a couple sites that download the vid to your desktop. I'm using keepvid.com. You copy the url of the page the video is on. The keepvid lite version automatically uses the url you copied. The keepvid page opens, click download, and it downloads to your desktop. Rename the file and add .flv to it.
Now you need a player. There's a couple free flash players. Didn't like FLV Viewer - it skips and sputters after a few seconds. The one that seemed to work the best is at http://www.wimpyplayer.com.
Yeah, you PCers are probably snickering. Well, I'm left handed, too. Gonna make a great cromogeon.

Re: saving YouTube vids on a Mac

Steve,

Thanks for this information as I am a Mac user too. I have been wanting to save
these videos; they are great.

As far as the PCers are snickering. I'm also left handed too. See link #1 for
more.

Thanks .... Ed
