Has been a landmark in the area for about 20 years. Reputation for great Cajun food...esp. fried platters and boiled crawfish (out-of-season, now).

Used to have a back room with band and dancing...now band plays a smaller middle room. Eric O'Blanc is the leader of the group that normally plays there, although I think Ron Miller and Aaron Chesson are playing there Sat. night.

The name of the people that run the restaurant is "O'Blanc" not "Aucoin."

Harris' was recently bought from the O'Blancs by the Aucoin Family. (same family, cousins) Hence the name change. They've redecorated, changed the menu and reopened the back room for music & dancing.

Actually, we will be playing there this weekend as we always play the first & second weekend. (Eric O'Blanc & The Cypress Creek Boys)

I think that Ron Miller has the third weekend. Anyway, Megan, let us know if you enjoy the music & the atmosphere.

The old Harris` in Hayes ,La. is owned now by Kizzy Aucoin Sanford. I don`t think you know what your talking about. Sept. 13,2006 the new name for the restaurant is Aucoin`s Cajun Restaurant.She has been opened now 4 months.Please stop sending out false message on behalf of her business.If you need to talk about anyones restaurant,please be sure you know what your talking about. This is and always will be owned by Kizzy Aucoin Sanford.Am her mother and I think maybe you should come down to the restaurant and check things out first before speaking out.Your right about the food it is still great.
