African Diatonic Pioneer - I.K. Dairo

Some of you may know about I.K. Dairo & His Blue Spots. But for those of you who don't, you should.

If you like Juju music with a some resemblance to a bit of zydeco, I recommend some of the late, great I.K. Dairo's music. While it's not "Louisiana-istic", it is very interesting to see how an African musician plays the 10 button box we all know and adore.

There's never been another African artist that's done anything similar to what I.K. Dairo invented.

Truly one of the greats.. minimalist..but very catchy..

Try the accordion music from the Rodriguez Islands for some Creole Zydeco style music..or even from Afro population in Belize. . all reminiscent of Zydeco.
