Re: 99 Waltz cajun/rockabilly style

Thanks a lot, Chad!
(I play the accordion & vocals on that one...)
There's still quite some work to do (especially on the accordion), but we already enjoy playing music, based on our favourite music styles (Cajun and Rockabilly)!
Maybe, next year, a fiddler will join us (I hope)...

Great great vids.. keep'um coming..and great music..

The Gulf Coast Playboys out of Austin TX do a mix of Cajun, Swamp Pop, and Tex Mex.. you might like them if you haven't heard of them.. they have a webpage.

Thanks a lot, Glenn!

I just checked out the Gulf Coast Playboys on www.thegulfcoastplayboys.com
This sounds like a very good live band to me. Also their Tex-Mex sounds real good.

Salut Yves,
You're in Bruge, that's pretty cool! I was there back in 1987 (nato naval fleet back then, in a previous life..:- ).
I remember the big wind turbines all lined-up at the entrance of the harbour... Pretty impressive view. Continue le bon travail et la bonne musique!

Re: Re: Re: 99 Waltz cajun/rockabilly style

Hi Maz,
Yes, Bruges is a pretty midieval town... I like it, but I wished there were a little more good musical events here... What part of Canada are you from? (I've only been in Montreal)
Merci et bon continuation à vous aussi!

Re: 99 Waltz cajun/rockabilly style

Don't the Red Stick Ramblers do a similar version? Their's is kick-a-- too!

Re: Re: 99 Waltz cajun/rockabilly style

Yes, you're right.
It's released as "Two Step des Con****és" on the CD "Bring It On Down".
Great version!

Re: Re: Re: 99 Waltz cajun/rockabilly style

Fantastic band, even though they don't have a full-time squeeze-box player (what were they thinking?)!

Re: Re: Re: Re: 99 Waltz cajun/rockabilly style

Lately Blake Miller has been filling in on accordion when playing in Louisiana. Great show if you can catch one.
