Re: Re: Re: Savoy on TV

Thanks for posting ththe information about Marc Savoy being on the Do It Yourself Channel. I had never heard of that channel; but since we very recently switched to Verizon for our cable, I decided to see if it is part of our package. Sure enough, we do get it. There are so many channels on Verizon and so many of them are totally useless that I still do not know what most of them are. But that one sounds good!

Re: Re: Re: Savoy on TV

Their website states they do not sell any of their programming. Hope you hear different.

Don't own a TV

I haven't owned a TV or had one in the house for 4 years now, I guess its time to get one again

Re: Savoy on TV

I'm surprised Marc would even consider being on TV. He's very anti-media. Glad he's doing the show -- it sounds like a great one.

Re: Re: I have a copy of the all the episodes

It came with my new A box. I'll post pics soon.

It's great to see Marc at all stages of construction. The one thing you don't see is how he puts the corners together.

Anyway, it really reenforced the idea that his boxes are worth the money. A LOT of intricate work goes into those suckers...

Best,

Re: Re: Re: I have a copy of the all the episodes

Nick,
I assume that your box came from Marc and he included the copies. If this is the case, do you think he will be selling the whole series?
Thanks,
Greg

Re: Re: Re: Re: I have a copy of the all the episodes

Greg,

I'm guessing yes, but the copyright lawyer in me wonders if he doesn't have a prior arrangement with the makers of the show. I wonder if he's even supposed to be distributing it prior to its first airing on TV.

Wouldn't hurt to give him a ring...

Best,

Nick

Re: Savoy on TV

So did anyone get to see it? If so, how was it?

Re: Re: Savoy on TV

I watched it. That cable channel sure does like commercials! The approximately 10 minutes with Marc building an accordion was interesting. The best part was seeing Linus Bertrand playing the accordion.
