My theory would be that these are cheapo toy Chinese one rows... pimped out with some dime-store puffy, pointy hobby shop creativity added, then photographed and put through some graphics programme for the glow effect.

I was thinking something like that too, except that to me they look like modified HA-114's. Look at the shape of the plastic keyboards, and the fact that there is just one end frame piece instead of two. Those are common features of an HA-114.

As to the blue look, that could be a photoshop enhancement, or a lighting trick used when the photos were taken. On the myspace site, in some cases it looks like the same accordions that look blue have a different look in the black and white version.

All the images are colour inverted ie.negatives.

Grab an image and drop it into Photoshop and click invert and you can see exactly what's going on.

These like design student projects to me.
