Re: Re: Squeezebox Shootout

Congrats Brian.... what was your best tune?

Re: Re: Re: Squeezebox Shootout

Thanks, i played between eunice and opeolousas and mulberry waltz in the first set, creole stomp and jolie blonde in the call and play, and bayou noir in the free play.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Squeezebox Shootout

Brian, if I read the thread correctly you stated that there were 3 different competition levels ? I noticed on the website that there were some changes made from last years competition, in that this year was a youth category, last year they had the junior and adult only. I guess they tried to even out the spread so that it would be a little more fair for the youth/beginners. Although I know some "early" teenagers who can play better than a few adults who've been playing for quite a while.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Squeezebox Shootout

yes, they had three age groups.
Adult 21 and up
Junior i think 13-20
Youth under 13
one other change was there was no masks involved in this contest the judges were behind a wall this time so no masks were needed.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Squeezebox Shootout

another thing was with each age group there were only three contestants per group that signed up so each class you were sure to be in the top three of that class.
