on the e-bay site listed above there is a very small pick-up that looks like it will stick directly on the right hand side of a cajun box. Would appreciate comments and criticisms from those that know more than be about this sort of thing. Is it possibly any good fro only $ 7.95?

they are not

they are contact mics

an accordion is not a guitar or fiddle
it;s not supposed to vibrate the wood

you would surely get some sound out of it
but i would expect it to be very
muffled and lacking in treble frequencies

also, it would not pick up the bass side
at all

i asked them if anyone had ever used it
as an accordion mic, or had they
no answer

it;s cheap though
try it and see
if it doesn;t work on accordion, it might
not be so bad for guitar or fiddle

it does look too cheap,quality wise.
Probabably exactly what you say,
about not picking up a good sound
on accordion treble side.
May try on my fiddle.
hopefully it will peal off, eventually.
