used aqccordions

I get a few people every now and then that ask me if I know of a used accordion for sale. I've directed them to this site to see if there's anything for sale, and I've told them to keep checking ebay. I've also mentioned not to expect a whole lot of savings from a brand new box. Larry Miller always seemed to have a few used for sale, some 'ugly ducklings', but still played nicely. A friend of mine bought something that looked like the north end of a goose flying south, but sounded and played pretty good none the less. Anyone, builders or shops, doing that these days? The few places I stopped at last time in Cajun Country, the only used I saw were Hohners and that ilk. Any information, I'll pass it along.

Re: used aqccordions

Interest seems to be growing and I'm wondering if the used ones will be harder and harder to get.

Re: Re: used aqccordions

they're already hard to get

Re: used aqccordions

I have a Martin in C I would part with if somebody made me the right offer....would like to order an even fancier box in C. Would be more than glad to email pics to anyone interested. buttonbox at gmail.com But it does seem used boxes are not showing up on ebay as much anymore either. I was lucky enough to score a Larry Miller in A, and one of my Martins....both amazing instruments.

Re: Re: used aqccordions

I would be interested in those pixs of the Martin. What are you asking for it? Thanks
