So, ol'Robichaux, him had dis retrievin' dog, and everyone heard him was a real good go get'um dog, but ol'Robichaux, him never would take no one out duck hunting. NO ONE. This started rubbin' some folks boudin the wrong way. So, dis group of lawyers and bank folks got together, and dey threaten to foreclose on Robichaux's pirogue if'n he don't take dem out duck huntin' with that danged dog.

Well, Robichaux, he still wouldn't say yes, until someone droved up to haul dat pirogue away. He finally agreed.

So, Robichaux, him takes dem bank lawyers out in his boat, and dey get out dere to dat duck blind, and dey wait for dem duck to come by. And BLAMMMM, one of dem bank lawyers shoot him a duck, and it go splat in de water 100 feets away. So, dey all sit in dat boat lookin' at Robichaux, and Robichaux look back at dem, and dey look at dat dog, and Robichaux look at dat dog, and dat dog look back at Robichaux, and Robichaux let out a big sigh. An he said "Ok Phydeaux, go get dem duck."

An Phydeaux, he been waiting to here dem words, and he jump out dat boat, and trip, trip, trip, trip, him run across de top of de water, an him pick up dat duck, and trip, trip, trip, trip, him run rat back across de top of that water, and he drop dat duck in de boat, and den he just steps rat into de boat.

And dem lawyers look at each other, and dem lawyers look at Robichaux, and Robichaux, him keep looking at something on his boot, and then something on de back of his hand caught his attention, but he never would look dem lawyers in de eye.

So nobody say nuttin.

And den BLAMMMMM, a lawyer shoot him another duck, and it go splat in de water 200 feets away. So, dey all sit in dat boat lookin' at Robichaux, and Robichaux look back at dem, and dey look at dat dog, and Robichaux look at dat dog, and dat dog look back at Robichaux, and Robichaux let out a big sigh. An he said "Ok Phydeaux, go get dem duck."

An Phydeaux, he jump out dat boat, and trip, trip, trip, trip, him run across de top of de water, an him pick up dat duck, and trip, trip, trip, trip, him run rat back across de top of that water, and he drop dat duck in de boat, and den he just steps rat into de boat.

And dem lawyers look at each other, and one says "You see dat?", and dat other lawyer say "Yeah, I see dat."

And dey all look at Robichaux and say "You see what dat dog just did?" And Robichaux, him let out a big sigh, and him say "Yeaaa, and it embarass de hell out of me. I never could teach dat dog to swim."
