Yes, very nice....thanks for the post

Re: Re: another version, little less noise

Yes, you should do some.

Re: Re: Re: another version, little less noise

You've got a great groove goin' there. Find yourself a fiddler and make some records...

Re: Re: Re: Re: another version, little less noise

Good job Jim. Nice technique. Now you need to connect with your audience and smile!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: another version, little less noise

heheh, I know what you mean. Although, it is kinda hard to smile when your making a video.

Hey now, I didn't see you smile on your youtube video!

making records

been recordings alot with my band, but nothing worth posting. I miss my friend Greg Bergler from silver spring, MD (about 45 minutes from where I live). Now that kid can fiddle circles around most Cajun fiddlers I've seen.

Re: Just made a video

Hey that was really cool Jim, I'll be glad when I can get that smooth. Bruce

On the *I'm about to poup face* syndrome

I know i don't smile a lot either when I play. I, too, have the *I'm about to poup face* syndrome.

On the other end of the spectrum, check out link #2 above for a nice & smiling player (what we should all aim to do). This is Robert Boutet, one of the better Quebec players. It is a good reflection of the French Canadian style too.

Re: On the *I'm about to poup face* syndrome

Do Quebecois players usually play with the thumb behind the keyboard?

Re: Re: On the *I'm about to poup face* syndrome

Hmmm. Good question....
I'll let you know next month. I'm going to a diatonic fest in Memramcook, New Brunswick, where there will be several good quebec players.
