Bonne fête de la musique à tous!

Today is June 21, solstice. In about 110 countries, people celebrate "La fête de la musique". This is something that has been introduced by L'Alliance Française", an international body dedicated to spreading the French culture all over the world. Here in Halifax, we are having our very first edition. See link #3.

The concept is simple: Throughout the day (12 hours) at different locations in the city (pubs, etc.), there is non-stop music played by amateurs and pro musicians. Each band or artist get about 30-40 minutes to perform at a time. See the link. Do you Braves have this in your community? If not, this would be a nice thing to start?
Me and a few friends, have officially formed a band dedicated to Cajun music. I'll tell you later about it. Today is our first official "public gig" together.
We'll be playing:
Choupique, Tante Aline (Viens me chercher, Blues de Bosco, J'ai passé devant ta porte, Midland Two-Step,
Valse de Reno, J’ai passé par la porte d’en arrière, Valse de 99 ans and Flammes d'Enfer.
What do you think of the line-up?

Sounds like an awesome lineup Maz. Hope you record some of it for us.

Bon Chance dessus la premiere gig.

Thanks man. The went really well. My daughter captured the whole thing on video cam (but missed the first song Choupique). Now I need make a few copies for the boys, and figure out how to convert in digital form.
