There is a great trend towards dry tuning among the British crowd who play 2 rows, 2 1/2 rows, 3 rows etc. I get the impression it is largely a result of Cajun influences, though it could be a reaction against the strong musette the French like.

usually [or at least me] one gets a triple row

my one rows are dry, i prefer the 3 rows
not to sound the same even if they could
