Man I'm having a vision of another Martin box in C. I'm thinking cream color with red trim with cream bellows and red crawfish. Chrome or Gold buttons with fancy flappers. Might look like a firetruck when I get finished. Bruce

Gold appointments would be beautiful. Kind of like
a cream colored Gretsch Country-Gentleman guitar.

(Gold also goes well with aqua blue ..)

I remember seeing a Zydeco musician at Chicot, who
was playing a shocking-pink box.

I wonder what other "non-traditional" colors have
popped up over the years ..

I forget who made it, but I saw a box that had "jeweled" flappers. Not with jewels, but that elaborate, beautiful overlapping pattern of curves you see on some custom hand-made knives. Jeweled gold flappers!...wow

Now I remember, it was a Charlie Ortega box -- "Master" brand. They are jeweled silver. A picture should be on the Cajun-Accordion-Gallery group on Yahoo.

It would not be my favourite, although I like the "moving flag" idea when you move the bellows. This summer I hope to see this accordion and the man behind it.
