I had emailed you thru YouTube too, but it looks like
we will not be seeing you at Augusta this year
(I has *not* been a good music-year for me this year.)
My better half is immersed in re-training after her
job got displaced to India. At least, that can't
happen to Cajun Music!
So, the "boys" AKA Wilson, Joel, Cedric, Blake, were
just in Oshkosh, WI this past weekend and we got to jam
into the wee hours after their performance at the
festival.
I tell yah .. they're known for their exquisite
musicianship, but they're good partiers too
Have a good time at Augusta and enjoy a beer on
the behalf of those of us who cannot attend this year
We'll miss you Nick - and all the other Braves
that can't make it. It is always a great week
and will be this year - as long as there is music,
friends and beverages.

Shhh!! Not too loud, you never know. Years ago, Scottish fiddler James Kelly went to Cape Breton to learn the tunes forgotten in Scotland. Lots of Old Time fiddlers went to bluegrass until bunches of upstart yankees headed South to learn Old Time. Now you got Cajun bands in the Netherlands, Bluegrass bands in Russia, Country bands in Canada. And it was a bunch of English guys (Pogues) playing in-your-face Irish stuff that inspired a slew of.... well, whatever.
Jim - have a great time. Gonna take some videos?
