Since it is "NEW" it is Chinese made..

Might as well get one from Savoy Music for less.

Or better yet keep waiting for an older German made one

I have paid as little as $25 and as much as $400 for 114's in excellent to mint condition.

Thanks. I had no intention of buying one for that price. I do want to buy a box in D eventually. Probably just save my money until I can order one from a custom builder: Jude Moreau, Ed Poullard, Danny Dyson, etc. An excellent condition vintage 114 in D wouldn't be a bad interim choice, though.

They are cheap light and fun to play

and if bought used rarely lose in value

I have seen them fitted with Italian reeds and they smoke..
