I've got a Hohner pre-Corso (MMM on treble side) that is in need of tuning. One guy here in Austin quotes $500!!!! I think he wants to remove the reeds and clean them and re-wax etc. Hell, I can get a complete set of new reeds put in for just a bit more. Irish Dancemaster will do a tuning for around $150 plus shipping costs. (that's better). Haven't asked Mike w/ Gabbanelli in Houston.
Suggestions? Anybody within driving distance of Austin, TX?
Try the link above. Rose Oliver (Accordion Rose) lives in Port Aransas, TX, and is a master accordion repair technician/tuner, etc. Send her an e-mail with your problem and see what she says, or give her a call. Danny Dyson in Lake Charles could also fix your Hohner. You would have to ship it to him. Probably will be a bit of a wait for either one.

I Agree. Since the process is going to take a while, might as well send it back to the factory. John Fine was asking for a source within a reasonably short drive from Austin, hence the Rose. Would be best to call or e-mail Hohner, ship it and wait.
And what is so wrong with the self-inflicted title of "Master"? Works for everyone except bait fishermen.
