Yep, Marc always comes through... thank you again

Re: Re: Re: Merci Monsieur Chaveau

Let's appoint Marc to a Most Honorable Member of the Cajun Accordionic Discussion Group. He deserves his PhD, for sure. Marc, a beer to celebrate this occasion in Saulieu? At the Cafe Parisienne of course ... - Nout

Re: Re: Re: Re: Merci Monsieur Chaveau

PS when Rick, as our most Honorable Designers among other honorable things, draws up a charter, lest make sure the name is spelled right though: Chauveau-Travers ...

Merci mes amis

Merci Dwight, merci chers amis.
Humm ........ I must write in English !!! I’m trying....
It's a good surprise and a big honor for me.
It's a pleasure to transcribe these cajun songs. I prefer to put on-line the tunes of Joe and Cleoma Falcon, Breaux Brothers or old songs of this time which are not in the yellow book or in Ann Savoy's book. Oldies but goodies !!!
I hope to help a little for the preservation of the language and the culture of cajuns.
Don't forget Christian who is also another specialiste. We love your music.
Thank you very much.

Nout, OK. Rendez-vous à Saulieu. Travers is the family name of my wife !!

Marc.

Re: Merci mes amis

There's (almost) nothing wrong with Braves who are (trying to be) funny on this forum, but when it comes to it, sharing knowledge and love for the music and culture comes first!!!
Donc......
Merci Marc et Christian!!

PS

Maybe I make it to Saulieu this year!

Travers! La Bolduc?

Is your wife famille de Mary Travers/La Bolduc?

Re: Travers! La Bolduc?

Oui Peer, elle se prénomme Marie-Odile. Des fois je l'appelle "La Bolduc" pour rire.

Marc.

La Bolduc

For anyone who thinks: who the **** is La Bolduc?? :
Mary Rose-Anna Travers, a.k.a. La Bolduc was a great French Canadian folksinger. Check link #3 for details.

my friend christian

sacre bleu! how could i forget to thank christian as well as marc, 2 good friends of cleoma's ghost who have provided us with countless lyrics upon request. boy, they are fast!
merci beaucoup!

roger

Re: my friend christian

Yeah Roger, you are completely righht.
This forum is the greatest help for people who are involved with Cajun music.
Lyrics, How to Play, what's the name of a tune, etc.....
Chapeau for all the helpers here.

Re: Re: Chers amis

Hi Roger. Nice to hear from you. Mais te tracasse pas comme ça mon ami !

Peer, we hope to see you in Saulieu. Half the population of the Netherlands already take the trip every year.

Christian
