Re: Mmmm.... Cajun....women.....stripping!!!

excellent fiddling.

Re: Re: Mmmm.... Cajun....women.....stripping!!!

Boy, that's just what we need more old time chicks messing with our music. Sooner or later one is going to get her tail end handed to her by some Basile or Lake Arthur girl who hasn't been hanging around the sweet and polite people that they hang around at out of state old time festivals

Re: Re: Re: Mmmm.... Cajun....women.....stripping!!!

Sooooo....Louisiana women are mean?????

Don't answer that.

Music is magic :-)

I think it's simply amazing how 3 pieces can sound
so good!

It's interesting to note when the bass & guitar
drops out that the fiddle still holds the essence
of the tune.

Then, as the fiddle & guitar return, so does
the synergy (i.e., the entirety is greater than the
sum of the parts) of the arrangement.

Very nice clip, spirited up-beat & fun!

It reminds my why I (attempt) to play an insturment

Re: Mmmm.... Cajun....women.....stripping!!!

Not Doug Kershaw but very cute to the eye and the music wasnt bad either Just put some super glue on the pick

Re: Mmmm.... Cajun....women.....stripping!!!

They say the name of the song is Cajun Stripper. And all this time a was calling the tune the Bosco Stomp.

Re: Re: Mmmm.... Cajun....women.....stripping!!!

They must have heard a Doug Kershaw recording, that's what he called it, I always wondered why.

Re: Re: Re: Mmmm.... Cajun....women.....stripping!!!

I saw Doug Kershaw play that song on his accordion the only song he did the whole nite on an accordion Cajun Stripper Queen all the rest were on his fiddle

here are the dumb lyrics

it is the bosco stomp

cajun stripper stole the melody from some common tune

==
Say child have you seen the Bourbon Street queen
She's feeling it revealing it down in New Orleans that Cajun Stripper queen
Dance dance dance little stripper dance while the music's hot
Dance dance dance little queenie do give it all you've got

She's got what it takes to drive you insane
She'll show you things like you ain't never seen that little cajun queen
So dance dance dance little stripper...
[ harmonica ]
She doesn't undress like all of the rest
She kicks off her shoes when she feels the blues the Cajun Stripper blues
So dance dance dance little stripper...

If would you go down to that cajun town
Tell her that I said to let her hair hang down and show you round the town
And dance dance dance little stripper...

actually this doesn;t seem to fit bosco stomp

Meant to say "and all this time I was ..." not "a was". Too bad there's no edit feature.
