It is not the same thing. All musicians do that with all music, ideas come from what we hear and grow from there. However, to take an original recording and insert sillyness is another story. Let's get real if that clown who ever it is would have taken the Eunice Step and played it on an accordion and would sung the verses in Cajun french and would have had a band to back them up, and then insert there crap into song then I would not have an issue with it. Law suits are filed all the time for plagiarism, and violation of copyright laws. So if the person wants to be an artist do it with their own material. The water is not muddy on this issue.
