Should an accordion be air tight?

Bonjour,

I have a quick question. I noticed that when I push or pull my accordion with no buttons pressed, it still expresses or takes in a little air and I can move the bellows. Is this normal or does it mean I have a problem with my accordion?

Merci,

T'Jim
