Well Randy, newbie's do have a problem when it comes to buying an instrument. I figured if I couldn't get to first base with the instrument and lost interest I'd be saddled with a $2K paperweight, so the 114 seemed like a better choice.

In a perfect world, someone with the forthright personality of a Larry Miller, for instance, would let the customer know the good and not-so-good of the Hohner and what can be done about it. With mods it still would be less than half the $2K. I really can't understand why Hohner just does not replace the infernal spoon box with a respectable button set-up. I don't think Chinese labor is that high off the chart.
