Re: Can anyone name this tune, played by Bois Sec?

I think they called it Le Chicot à Bois Sec on the famous Blues du Bayou lp from 1966 recorded with Canray Fontenot on the Melodeon label for Dick Spottswood in Falls Church Virginia on the way home from the Newport Folk Festival.

Re: Can anyone name this tune, played by Bois Sec?

It reminds me a lot of parts of Freight Train Blues

Re: Can anyone name this tune, played by Bois Sec?

"Fais Pas Tout Ca" is the name of the tune. Les Amis Creole did a cover of it on their self titled album as well as the Mamou Playboys on their CD Dominos under the title Ardoin Melody.
