Good one,Neal

Re: Eunice Waltz

Thanks, everyone!

Eunice Waltz when it was in Crowley

Took quite a bit of searching, but Joe Falcon's La Valse De Crowley is the same song, Wade Fruge also.

Re: Eunice Waltz

I go with Neal on this one!

Re: Eunice Waltz

The Lafayette Playboy Waltz by Aldus Roger (Phillipe Allemand on vocals) is the same tune with different lyrics. It's one of my favorites!

Re: Eunice Waltz

Website links have two versions by Aldus Roger of the Lafayette Playboys Waltz. On the first one, it's an older band of his and the vocal is maybe Popeye Broussard or Roy Morgan. On the second one, it's a later version sung by Phillip Alleman.

The vocal melodies sound quite different than Eunice Waltz.

Re: Eunice Waltz

Many waltzes sound alike. Make sure the Eunice Waltz you are listening to bears the name, "Evangeline."

The other Eunice Waltzes from Acadia and St. Landry are frauds. There's been a boundary dispute amongst these parishes and their claim to the Eunice Waltz.

Listener beware...
