Savoy Family Band does a song called Bayou Two Step. I'm thinking this has another more common name. Anyone know?
Also, Chubby Carrier does a song on "Boogie Woogie Zydeco" called "Creole Two Step" that sounds exactly like "Don't Let the Green Grass Fool You". I've heard others do it too, I think. Is there another name for that?
Bayou Teche Two-Step by Austin Pitre. There is a more obscure way to do the turn, and I have to be honest, I've only listened to that Bayou Two-Step once. The obscure turn, that I learned was from Reggie Matte's grandfather, I think his name was Thomas. And Jason Frey had a version of it on a 45! Michael
I've got a song I wrote, right after hearing another song that sounded pretty much the same. Only difference is, original was on a PA, mine on single row. And there was much less to mine.
Nice stage presents I always think how fun it is to be on stage having people watch me play whatever it might be I am playing. I know I am not the best but I also know I am not the worst so at least we have the nerve to get up and do it in front of an audience. When your ready I really would like to see an accordion clip of you playing since you now live in Calif the land where I grew up for most of my life and didnt know Cajun music existed.
