Rosalie lyrics for Dewey Segura version

Hi all,

I know the lyrics for the Adam Hébert version, but I am looking for the lyrics for the Dewey Segura Rosalie version.

You can listen to it with the link#1.

I already have understood 70% of the sentences, but the recording quality don't allowed me to "really heard" all the song, so please let me know if you have it,

best regards,

Greg

Re: Rosalie lyrics for Dewey Segura version

I don't understand all the second verse. This verse by Jambalaya Cajun Band (CD "C'est fun"), is very similar.

Oh, Oh Rosalie,

Marc.

Re: Rosalie lyrics for Dewey Segura version

Same tune Octa Clark calles "Le Tit Neg A Tante Dolice", and I think same tune as Amede Ardoin's "Les Blues De Voyage". I hear things a little different in the 1st and 2nd verses.

Oh, Oh Rosalie,

Qui t'as empoisonné
?
Dans la coulée Rodair

Re: Rosalie lyrics for Dewey Segura version

thank you very much guys!

it's cool because I don't have most of the sentences you fount!

I 'll try to complete the song with the lyrics you gave to me!

I'll post all the lyrics with you're help when it'll be ok (if it can interested).

The only thing I am not sure it's the first sentence you gave to me,

I understood (same lyrics as hebert version for the first sentence):

Oh, Oh Rosalie,

that the only difference with you, but no problem, very nice from you guys for the answer

Re: Rosalie lyrics for Dewey Segura version

After listening again, I think you're right, Greg.

Re: Rosalie lyrics for Dewey Segura version

I was reading this forum, I am not really comfortable on the computer etc. but I will give it a shot. Below is what I hear for the words for Rosalie. Excuse my french spelling, it is terrible.

Oh Oh Rosalie

This tune is known as the Blues a Voyageur by Amede Ardoin, also as Rosalie by Dewey Segura,. I learned the song as The 'Tit Neg a Tante Doline. Alphe Bergeron and Shirley Ray Bergeron recorded it as The Crepe a Nazaire. I hope this helps.

Re: Rosalie lyrics for Dewey Segura version
