The lyrics are like the songs that promote a club, saying how much fun people have at the Paradise on Saturdays. It follows the same pattern as Tee Maurice, Chinaball Waltz, and Valse de Belisaire.

That's certainly a better title than Valse des Misères, which has nothing at all to do with the lyrics sung here. I suspect that Valse des Miseres was misnamed in the British lp where I got it. Paradis de 'Cadien is closer to the lyric

I think it's Aldus Roger, but Valse des Misères is probably not the right title.

Okay, let me help on this one...It's not Aldus Roger who made this song..It's Bobby Leger and I know for sure..Next, it doesn't have the same pattern or chord progression as Tit' Maurice, Chinaball Waltz, or Belizaire Waltz. Entirely different. It is a great song. Neal give the French and English lyrics to show the people. Michael

Thanks Michael I know that song but it has been so long since I heard that version. I used to go to Tee Georges in Lake Arthur on Sunday afternoon back in the 80's where Bobby was playing. I remember thinking that he was the skinniest man I had ever seen play an accordion. Boy, he could play.

The first band I ever played with on a regular basis was Bobby Leger and the Lake Charles Playboys at Lloyd's Lounge on Hwy 90. First guitar, then later, bass. That was in the early 90s. Bobby was quiet a character. He was a part-time deputy and raised fighting rooster. It was rumored that he often injected himself with the steroids he injected in his roosters. He had a huge growth on his right shoulder. Many said it was from years of playing the accordion. Anyway...it was perfect for keeping his strap on his shoulder.

Ganey I forgot all about Floyd's in Lake Charles, I was there pretty regular. He used to have a real good crowd even met a couple of "lovely ladies" there. Well they seemed lovely after a few beers anyway. Floyds was on the north side of the highway not far from the Candlelight INN. I have purcased some short term property there many tims. Check in check out.

Thanks Michael! I need to update my file name on this one!

Chris Miller told me he played a copy of that song for RC Vanicor and RC told him it was Bobby Leger, not Aldus Roger, and that he (RC) played steel on it! I forgot to update my file name. The British label was completely off on this one.

I will see about transcribing those songs with the similar texts. There are some other club tribute songs too with similar lyrics naming the club, like Cypress Inn Special. Others have a club name in the title but they are instrumentals.

Actually, it was me, Neal. Eric O'Blanc had it playing during a break at one of our gigs, and Orsy heard.
