Plans are finalized for a 1 Air Division Family Reunion, to include all 4 R.C.A.F Wings, Grostenquin, Marville, Lahr, Baden, Headquarters Metz, air Weapons Unit Sardinia, , Baden, Zweibrucken, 61 AC$W Sqdn, 601 Communications Sqdn, 4ATAF Ranstein, North Luffenham, England, 109 KU England, CF104 Maintenance, Gatwick, Langar and any other units we may have missed. Please let us know.This reunion is open to retired RCAF personnel, civilian members and their families. BRATS
The reunion is to be held August 23/24/25, 2013 at the Delta Vancouver Hotel, located at 3500 Cessna Drive, Richmond, B.C. and the web site for them is www.deltavancouverairport.com. Rooms for this event will be $129.00. This is a great price for the Vancouver area, plus they will not charge us for parking. You can register any time by calling 604 278 1241 email address is deltaairport@ivancouver.com. Be sure that you tell them it is for the Air Division Reunion so that you can get the arranged rate. We will be arranging a cheaper rate for flights through West Jet and will advice later on the code.
The cost for this reunion is $150.00 each however if for health reasons you can only attend one day then please advice and we will give you the cost. There will be a full refund for those who cancel, with a charge of no more than $5 to cover the cost of bank fees, mail etc.
The cost covers:
Friday Meet and Greet: 6:00pm to 11:00pm : Canapes, Hors d’oeuvres, sandwiches, Cash Bar.
Saturday Banquet: 5:00pm to 6:00pm Cocktails, cash bar, Dinner dance 6:00 to 1:00am
Sunday Brunch: 9:00am to 11:00am
There will be a registration desk set up Thursday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm for early birds. The hotel provides free shuttle buses to and from the airport, Steveston Fishing Village, www.steveston.bc.ca, the Richmond Mall , www.richmondcentre.com, and the River Rock Casino, www.riverrock.com
There will be golf Saturday for those who wish to partake. Your cost.
