Its about time that correspondence on this subject was aired, especially as the Council has LOST the funding we should be getting from Government and EEC for road improvement.
When will the Council WAKE UP to the fact that our misserable roads are the lifeblood of the valley!
ALL the other major valleys have had new MAJOR road projects linking them with the M4 and Heads of the Valleys roads - But not the Rhondda Fawr!
If members of the Assembly or Councillors had to suffer the Traffic and road conditions From Treherbert to Tonypandy and Hirwaun each day like many of us - perhaps we would have our ROAD!!!
I totally agree with you there, have there been any plans to improve the roads in the past?

Re: Rhondda Fawr Roads
Its all the way down the valley. I travel to Cardiff daily its an absolute nightmare.Believe it or not it is sometimes quicker to pick up the M4 via Port Talbot or Bridgend. Its crazy in this day and age.
Stop burying your head in the sand, councillors.
The people want you to act NOW!! not when there is a local election.
Location: Treherbert

Re: Rhondda Fawr Roads
Yes Dean, there have been plans, but only pathetic and piecemeal, to by-pass Treorchy, thus moving the problem to Treherbert.
This would never solve the problems we have overall!
Nothing less than a full campaign for a new A Class road from Pontypridd to Hirwaun will save the Valley from stagnation!
