It's a very entertaining little book. It's based on the stories that Clive told his children when they were younger.
I enjoyed it.It's nice to see Dr.Cussler branching out into other areas.

Re: Adventures of Vin Fiz
I agree. I read it a couple of months ago, and found it to be very clever. It's obviously influenced by CHITTY-CHITTY-BANG-BANG, but before the book was released I read interviews with CC where he admits this, so apparently that's not supposed to be any big secret. I think VIN FIZ is a better book than CCBB, with a quicker pace and imaginative adventures. I certainly hope he'll write more children's books in the future.
I too read the story. It was very entertaining. Being a middle school teacher, I share it with my students. I would love to get a class set but, am waiting for the paperback.

Re: Adventures of Vin Fiz
I've read it, I'm 11, and I liked it, but it was to short. I also love the Dirk Pitt books, but dad hardly has any. Time to go raid the library.
