I would be surprised if I was the first to point this out, but... In "Vixen 03" we find out that Loren's father was killed. But at the end of "Trojan Odyssey", both her mother and father attend Dirk and Loren's wedding. ???? "Clive Cussler and Dirk Pitt Revealed" is the only "Pitt" work I haven't read. Is there something in there that could explain this?
Andrew asked a serious question and I suggested he not take you at your silly made up stuff and let him know that Loren's stepfather didn't exist and that there was no re-marrage anywhere in the books. And Andrew obviously didn't think your "joke" was very funny.
Neither did anyone else.
So,please, for the sake of everyone on this site including Dave, give it a rest.

Re: Loren Smith's Father
I have read all the books and I often wondered about this myself. How Lauren's dad could be dead in Colorodo but later give her away at her wedding?
It has been reasoned that Cussler simply forgot that he previously dispatched the character. But humans seem to have all kinds of miraculous powers in Cussler's world.
Twin children of Dirk conceived without his participation and fathers who can rise out of the grave when the occasion demands.
Ironically, kinda takes the human element out of the stories........
I sure wish Cussler was more careful about these things,
don't you ??? It can't be THAT hard. I mean Loren IS a principle character.
