Anytime Cussler is in New York at a book signing, I would be more then happy to. As it were, I will express my opinion on this forum as do many others. Perhaps you are of the income bracket to make such a trip and then spend $200-$300 a day or more for maybe a momentary glimpse or a "few words" from the author himself during a luau or whatever the theme is next year. That's your prerogative. And remember, Cussler goes to these things for a pat on the back, not a kick in the pants. I find the concept of the conventions to be wasteful and foolish. The amount of time and money that you spend going there is not in direct proportion
to the actual amount of time you actually get to see and spend with Cussler. It's ridiculous.

Also consider the raising fervor at the lessening quality of Cussler's writing and the amount of ire that's building concerning it,especially the many technical and geographical errors. Even here on this site. I know I am far from alone in this regard and it's really starting to show in more ways then one. Soon, Cussler will be hearing about this en mass without any help from me.

So, calling me an "chicken", "ass", or "bully" doesn't detract from the truth. "Overbearing"? A little,but I get my point across. "Boring"? Well, the truth is to those who can't accept it. "Windbag"? I suggest you keep your mirror polished, as well.

Rob, it should come as no suprise that Nick Kitt, keyboard bully that he is, does not have the means to travel to the convention. Look at the evidence: he post's here at all hours of the day, and spends more time posting than anyone else. He is more than likely an insignificant little man with no friends, a wasted life and a crappy job (would you hire someone with that attitude?). It makes him feel like a man to bully others from the safety of his lonely room. How very sad....

Not true. I have been on the quality of the books lately if you bothered to actually understand. The movie has a life of it's own. In fact, if you even check this site's guestbook, you will see I'm not the only one STILL talking about it. Other sites are lamenting about the fact there will be no more films without any prodding from me. And guess what ? Everyone wants more films. Now THAT'S funny,ain't it?

I have ALWAYS started out nice. When people realize what I say has merit and, in most cases, I can back what I say with proof, then the personal attacks fly, or someone hits a delete button, or just blocks usage of the site. That's when people show their true colors. After a while, I just give back what I get because most, NOT all, can't listen to reason. That's not to say you don't have an opinion and it's not important. Just defend it without personal attacks and everything will be fine. I'm not going to stop you from reading Cussler, am I ? I don't think so,but I might be able to make you see something you might have overlooked. If not,then enjoy.

But... I think you overestimate the range of this forum. It is for ordinary people that read CC and what to share some feelings likes and dislikes. There is no IQ test on entry. I don't think there's a place for meritoric discussion - or would you like to discuss about possibilities of accelerated growing of red algeae in oceans?

About burgers you wrote in answer to Jeff, I'm a woman - maybe I misunderstood something, but it had negative sound for me. "Construction opinion" is also used in one of your posts, but nevermind.
I suppose forum wouldn't be living without your activity, Nick. Everywhere there shoud be somewhone in a kind of nonconformist to keep balance.
