Confusion in Crescent Dawn novel

In chapter 15, Holder is killed and Raban is wounded in the arm.
In chapter 20, Sophie tells Sol Brandy that it was Raban who was killed,
In chapter 43 it's back to Holder again.

Is it only me that is confused??

I caught that too....think they just meant to say Holder for sure - since there were two men involved and they slipped up with the one who survived...

But how does an author writing a story make such an obvious mistake like that ?!?
Is anyone paying attention ???
