Juan Cabrillo is my favorite Cussler character and he certainly gets himself into one predicament after another. However, Cussler needs a better editor! After Juan loses his artificial leg, I shouldn't read sentences like "leaving Cabrillo's FEET about twelve inches ...," (p. 187) and "His FEET and wrists were bound ...." (p. 184). One foot and a stump do not equal FEET.
