Given the kind of week that has transpired, it was another day of bittersweet emotions. Rosebud and Sandi came to my home on Wednesday, June 23rd, to meet up with Rosebud's new forever home mommies Anne Marie and Mary Mulligan. As soon as Sandi put Rosebud on the floor our beautiful flower was so happy to see them. "Rosie", her new sister continued to investigate the Wade household and made herself quite at home while Rosebud wiggled close to Anne Marie and gave her wet slurpy kisses. Sandi and I tried our best to not cry while we gave our final kisses and loving on Rosebud. For Sandi it was difficult saying good-bye after more than 6 months of tenderly and lovingly caring for Rosebud. From that scared, sickly, mange ridden body to a beautiful, bouncing, happy sweet babygirl going to her loving forever home, well, that makes it all worth it.

Anne Marie had a new safety harness to place on Rosebud to prepare for the drive home. Awaiting her at home are her new toys, her very own bed, capes, chews you name it, I am sure she has it. LOL.... Oh yeah, and her mommies neighbors are all anxiously waiting to meet the famous Rosebud. She's got quite a fan club!

I cannot begin to tell you how much we all appreciated those notes of care, donations, and prayers to help our Rosebud. She belonged to everyone. I will miss that sweet face that greeted me every time I visited her. There will be a void in Sandi's home without the Rosebud, but knowing she will never again be neglected, makes us all rejoice!

Please wish Anne Marie all the best with Rosebud. Yea, Rosebud!
