You know the economy is buckling and it's really affecting the soaps; they're letting people go all over (Deidre Hall, Don Diamont). Now OLTL is surviving; they just need to keep writing intriguing stories and don't drag out plots for too long. AMC needs to step up their game in a big way; I'm sorry but Pratt needs to go before he turns AMC into GH2. GH needs a complete overhaul: get a new head writer with soap experience, an innovative writing staff, let some characters go and bring some back.
I don't know guys, what do you think? You think the soaps are going to survive? I would think so, a lot of people like soap operas but times are changing... and unfortunately some soaps aren't cutting it anymore with tired and crappy stories. What do you think will happen and what soaps can you see biting the bullet?
