Re: Recovered dogtag site

Unfortunately, sometimes these dogtags have been 'forged' and are not the originals. I believe there was a big story about this on a newsmagazine a year or so ago.

Some might find the site http://www.founddogtags.com/ usefull, possibly for MIA/POW or for veterans. People may want to check adopted MIA/POW against the records of dogtags bought from Vietnamese shops in Vietnam. Hope it helps.

Re: Re: Recovered dogtag site

Yes, it is true that 'found dog tags' can be fake.....I read that online in a newsletter ( some time back ).

They are made using machines that were left behind.....how disgusting and maddening! The tags are sold also at 'shops' in Vietnam and represented to be authentic. tsk tsk tsk!!!!!!
