Dennis and Smile

There's a thread farther down about this but I want to bring it up again now that maybe others, like me, got the Smile set for Christmas. I got the 2 cd set and I had had bootlegs and had heard the Brian solo Smile set a few years ago. I really have been enjoying hearing the tracks and hearing them built by Brian. At one point he says "Denny, do you have any more Hash joints, I know you do" or something like that so I know Dennis is around. Does anybody know of some significant work he did on Smile? Can you point us to places where we might hear some Dennis contribution, background vocals, anything? Thanks.

Re: Dennis and Smile

The Smile box set has a fantastic sessionography that details who does what on every Smile session track and snippet. Its written by Craig Slowinski and highly recommended. The bottom line is that Dennis is all over Smile. He sings on nearly every song. He has a short lead vocal on You Are My Sunshine, but his voice stands out on many of the other tracks. He also plays instruments on a bunch of the Smile songs including drums on Holidays, organ on Good Vibrations, vibes on Vegatables, percussion on Heroes and Villains, and more stuff on a bunch of the other songs.

Re: Dennis and Smile

The Box Set is ridiculously expensive...but I'm hoping to get one very soon!
