NOTE: On June 18th, 2008, Sony BMG/ Legacy Recordings released the long awaited reissue of Dennis Wilson's masterwork, the acclaimed 1977 solo album Pacific Ocean Blue. Aside from a brief CD release in 1992, this is the first time this album has been widely available to the public since it's first appearance. Included in this release is a second disc packed with previously unreleased material from sessions leading up to a second solo album, tentatively titled BAMBU.

So, have you heard the new release? What do you think? What surprised you? Do you have questions? Reviews? Opinions? - they are all welcome here.

ps - apology to other posters

by the way - I apologize to those of you who responded in witty and wise ways to the original posts that I have deleted - the way the forums work is if you delete a post, replies go away, as well. I'm sure those of us who saw them blurted a hearty AMEN to them.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled broadcast.

Re: ps - apology to other posters - wendy's message

like this from Wendy! - thank you Wendy!:
"Sometimes the level of conversation on these boards cracks me up !! Jon Stebbins may only have met Dennis once - but he, alongside people such as Roach, Jakobson and company, have done more to keep the name of DW alive than any of his former bandmates. Without him we may never get to see this new documentary, we would never have gotten to read his bio ... and perhaps more importantly, we may still be awaiting to re-hear his music ... Jon played an essential part in all THREE of these and I'd personally I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to him for keeping the flame burning ... The Stebbins Appreciation Society would now like to rest its case "

Re: ps - apology to other posters - wendy's message

I actually missed the subsequent replies - and therefore have no idea why the thread(s) were deleted but I can kinda guess it followed a similar vein to the original post
