NOTE: On June 18th, 2008, Sony BMG/ Legacy Recordings released the long awaited reissue of Dennis Wilson's masterwork, the acclaimed 1977 solo album Pacific Ocean Blue. Aside from a brief CD release in 1992, this is the first time this album has been widely available to the public since it's first appearance. Included in this release is a second disc packed with previously unreleased material from sessions leading up to a second solo album, tentatively titled BAMBU.

So, have you heard the new release? What do you think? What surprised you? Do you have questions? Reviews? Opinions? - they are all welcome here.

Dumb Angel

Just finished re-reading Adam Webb's book about Dennis..........it was a lot better second time around. Although I read it previously at the same sort of time as Jon's book so it probably paled a little in comparison.
Just thought I'd say that Dumb Angel is after all, a decent read.
Any other opinions?

Re: Dumb Angel

I also have that book and read it 3 years ago , it is a decent read !
I remember the interviews was interesting , when i read the John Hanlon interview i was dreaming of his plans to happen sometime ; and now it has happened!

I was missing more information om the album Dennis worked on in 1971 together with D.Dragon.

Re: Dumb Angel

I also thought the author's obvious disdain towards Mike and Al was very amusing......although I didn't agree on his scathing attitudes to some of the Beach Boys albums (particularly Love You which I like a lot)
