Re: Was Dennis shy?

it has been said he looked wasted on an 1980s good morning interview, but his microphone wasnt working.

muhahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Re: Was Dennis shy?

Hey,

I must say that I just looked at the GMA interview and while I understand him to say the mike wasn't working he does look rather looped.

Re: Was Dennis shy?

"it has been said he looked wasted on an 1980s good morning interview, but his microphone wasnt working."

Neither was his brain or central nervous system that morning - he looked wasted because he **was** wasted.

Re: Was Dennis shy?

I agree, it was painful to watch. He could barely sit up.

Re: Was Dennis shy?

judith patterson
so tell me doctor doe, where you there, and what was he on, why didnt your friend rob reply?.

Re: Was Dennis shy?

To get back to my original post, I would like to add that the behavior witnessed during the GMA interview diminishes who he was and and the insight he was able to provide when he was more coherent. I think it is always sad to see someone behaving in such a manner that does not reflect their true personality and unfortuately that's what happens with substance abuse. The debate on this post seems moot since the abuse has been well documented by those who knew him. With that said I don't feel that aspect of his life defined him. His point of view and music was much more. So that goes back to my question regarding his true personality. By the way thanks for the input.

No, I wasn't there, but I've seen the video, I know something of Dennis' lifestyle at that point in time, and I've spoken about it with someone who **was** there (hint - not Joan Lunden). As was evident to anyone who saw the interview having removed their rose-tinted spectacles, Dennis was totally wasted - drunk and stoned. Don't know whose bright idea it was to have him present at a morning press call, but whoever it was deserves a good slap... and it must be said, Brian did one of his finest 'deer-in-the-headlights' impressions too. Not a shining moment in their relationship with the media.

Re: Was Dennis shy?

Agreed, it makes you wonder what their management was thinking. But then management did want to perpetuate the myth. Didn't Dennis say something to the affect that if the Beatles had their management they would still be jumping around in Beatle suits.

Re: Was Dennis shy?

judith patterson
so who is joan lundon?, and who was there that you know?.you tend to forget that brian had been on drugs for a while, as were they all. look at jerry skilling, he knows all about drugs, etc. if he was on anything, it would be alcolhol, not drugs. trying to make yourself inportant is not becoming.

Joan Lunden was the unfortunate interviewer, and the person I talked about it with was one of the band.

BTW, you've just undermined your credibility by stating that they were all on drugs at the time, twofold:

1 - it rather contradicts your claim that Dennis wasn't wasted...

2 - I think Mike, Alan & Carl would be most interested to learn that in 1980 they'd been on drugs for a while.

Not trying to make myself look important, just correct misconceptions with established fact.

Re: Was Dennis shy?

judith patterson
did your friend from the band tell you 1978-79 dennis and carl went on holiday to new zealand and australia and both had drugs. as told by dennis. is it the fact you like up satanding people, or you have to be right. perhaps your an australian, you have the trats?.your not perfect yourself. being born into a sinful world for a start. no hope there.

I don't normally do this, but... it's obvious to me that you don't know who I am in the BB fan world, so may I suggest you check out this site - http://www.btinternet.com/~bellagio/ - or do a search on my name in amazon.com books. Or both. Concisely, I know a little about the history of The Beach Boys. I also know how to use the shift on my PC, and I can spell properly as well.

so you have got your own web site, so have others.good speller your self are you? just because you say things are right does not mean they are.i wouldnt go on about american education if i were you, they only teach you half of what you need to know. this i have seen for myself.england is the only education in the world.this still doesnt change anything i have said.

Why should I go on about American education (not that I have) ? The Aussie boy comment is odd as well - I'm English.

Re: Was Dennis shy?

I think the Fruitcake refers to me as Aussie, and I'm also English

Re: Was Dennis shy?

so your all three, fruit cake, an aussie, and english.there wont be much english there.you should go home, your not wanted there. own your own home, that can change, being kicked out of your street, or country. bad reputation for work, that to.so what area do you live?.

I'll say this very slowly, so you can have a crack at understanding... I'm English. I **live** in England. I was **born** here.

BTW, you realise there's a reason why all your other posts have been deleted. It's because you are a very stupid and immature person who doesn't know when to quit - I'm guessing you're about 13 or so, emotionally and intellectually.

Re: Was Dennis shy?

Good grief..........I see certain asylums are NOT escape proof.

Only one thing to add after reading the above garbage -

Judith Patterson...

Judither Pad-her-son is a freak and so much idiot person who likes say so many s.h.i.t.s. Why? Because she wants her 15 minute spotlight.

Re: Judith Patterson...
