I'm soaking up all information available on Dennis Beach Boys and solo work. Thanks to the re-released POB/Bambu CD, I guess most if not all of his work from say 1976 onwards is now officially available. What I'm missing are the unreleased songs before that. Sure, I hope like everybody else that we will see a release for these songs as well. Until then I would just love to see a complete choronological list of what tracks are lurking out there in some vaults. Has anybody created such a list?

... turns out to be "Sound Of Free".

There was a great discussion we had somewhere, when POB was first re-released, about the number of songs Dennis worked the same melodies through at times, before they found a permanent home. The same was true of song titles, as he often changed the a songs title, especially if there was a major change in the direction of the lyric.

Surely... one that springs to mind is the storied "Spring Bass Song" - the tape box actually says "String Bass Song", and the track is an early stab at "Rainbows".

I'll take me a look soon and pitch you some emendations.

Following the links mentioned in this thread got me revisiting the Good Vibrations Box set and the track 4th of July. I can see it was recorded during two sessions in 1971. I wonder if there exist a version with Dennis on vocal, it's highly possible I think. Does anybody know?
