NOTE: On June 18th, 2008, Sony BMG/ Legacy Recordings released the long awaited reissue of Dennis Wilson's masterwork, the acclaimed 1977 solo album Pacific Ocean Blue. Aside from a brief CD release in 1992, this is the first time this album has been widely available to the public since it's first appearance. Included in this release is a second disc packed with previously unreleased material from sessions leading up to a second solo album, tentatively titled BAMBU.

So, have you heard the new release? What do you think? What surprised you? Do you have questions? Reviews? Opinions? - they are all welcome here.

God bless you, Denny, may you Rest In Peace. Twenty-six years? No way, seems like maybe ten at the most. Thanks for POB, Bambu, and all the other great music & stuff.

Re: R.I.P. DW

Don't think I'll ever enter this season without reflecting on this time in '83. It was like the end started on Christmas eve, and so obvious yet so inevitable, even to the doctors. Such a painful way to go through the holidays, having to be strong for my own daughter Brianne as well as for Shawn & Gage. And then such an intense, bizarre way to begin 1984, the year Orwell had been preparing us for... Yet still, there was always the solice of him finally being able to Rest in Peace...

Re: R.I.P. DW

I was just thinking about that the other day Eddie, your situation... waiting for Dennis to show up and then getting the news. How strong you must have been to hold it all together.
