After 2 1/2 months of checking the internet, and asking Vietnam Veteran Air Force Dog Handlers, we have found no evidence to support the claim made by Sharon Peralta that her husband served (2) tours in Vietnam as a Dog Handler with the 72nd SPS.
We did find that the 72nd did serve in WWII, and Korea, but stood down after that.
We did find and Air force Reserve Unit called the 72nd, but not evidence that they were ever in Vietnam.
We did find that the rank and title given by Sharon did not match.
If anyone has any evidence to support her posting from April, 2010, then please let us know.
