Really love your website. Some of the regular \"Fire & Fury\" scenarios are to big for my table I enjoyed playing both Antietam and Chickamauga broken down in three smaller scenarios. The fight over Burnside Bridge is my favourite!

Dear Wargamers!

we are a new company from Athens making strategy games played over a web browser. Our current project is called "Empires at War 1805" and is played only against human opponents. In the game you lead one of the 17 dominant powers of the era, trying to make your empire the greatest in Europe. The game has a detailed economic & trading system, accurate Napoleonic army lists, interesting political options, and strong Historical flavour.

We have launched a fund raising campaign here: http://www.indiegogo.com/eaw-1805?a=1582854
Please check on the game, and if you like it, help us to spread the news!

We are making wargames, not social games, so we count on wargamers support to launch this! If you need more information, manuals, screenshots, questions or whatever - please contact us :)

We also run a special offer during this period, your wargaming club can start you own game (17 players can fit into one game), and split the countries between you as you see fit. And yes, this game will be completely free so that you can see if you like it :)
We would love to hear from you soon!

Kind Regards,
Oplon Games

Horseholders: 1 man with 2-4 horses, base 1.5” wide, 1 and 1/8” deep

We generally mount all markers on pennies.

Rules may be hard to find now, as it was really popular in the 90s, but I would be happy to email you copies of the quick play sheets if you need them.

Are you likely to be at Warfare in November? there will be a F&F demo game there!

Hope that helps, Dave.

With regard to the Bull Run problem, there was indeed only one Cocke. His brigade was posted initially to cover Lewis' Ford, evidently a big brigade, as the Reb ones often were at the beginning of the war, because it was later split. When the Union flank attack was recognised and Beauregard went to go organise the counter attack, Johnstone was further back, with an overview. He fed Beauregard with troops, from reserves and as they arrived on the field. Two of these were 8 Virg. and 49 Virg., part of Cockes Brigade. The only way to reflect this in the game I guess, was to split Cocke's Brigade, and mark the part without commander with a (-). You will note in the scenario, the other part of the brigade is pinned down until a particular time in the battle. Hope that helps a little, best regards, Dave

In the 1st Battle of Bull Run scenario in the Great Eastern Battles Book Cocke's Brigade is shown twice with different strengths. ( One ref. if suffixed (-) ). I was told that there were two different Brigade commanders called Cocke on the field but all my reading of the battle does not bear this out. Can anybody explain this apparent anomaly?
